ARROYO GRANDE

Arroyo Grande is located on the Central Coast of California, midway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  The city is 5.45 square miles at an elevation of  114 feet and is surrounded by vast farmland and flower fields.  Arroyo Grande maintains a distinct village character throughout it’s vibrant downtown shopping and dining district called  “The Village of Arroyo Grande.”  Spanning the downtown Arroyo Grande Creek is a rustic swinging bridge. It's a favorite avenue for pedestrians to reach the "village," a cluster of historic building museums, antique stores, gift shops, upscale boutiques and restaurants.  Fine homes, fine schools, fine antiques, fine wines and fine people characterize the area.  Civic pride creates a sense of community, and public and private partnerships show progress at a comfortable pace. Arroyo Grande is a gateway to the south county's outstanding wineries by way of highway 227 toward San Luis Obispo through the world-famous Edna Valley or by heading in the direction of Lopez Lake. Tourism and agriculture spur the economy and provide the impetus for a “feast” of yearly festivals and celebrations, each one showcasing local products, local pastimes and local businesses.  A perfect climate is one of Arroyo Grande’s biggest assets.  Rarely does nighttime temperature drop below 32 degrees nor is the hottest summer day over 83 degrees.
